Round Robin

Hello Everyone,

A few of the Gals on the Q&N forum and I are doing some Round Robins.

So this week I've been working on Sherry's. This is Sherry's medallion,  plus the border Karen put on it.

She wants to keep it black/white with a  pop of color.

I decided it really needed some geese.

I'll show you the rest when I finish it. It should of been in the mail on Thurs :( Will have to get it out on Tues, when I go to town next.

Linking up with Kim.

Have a great day all.

Working on a mystery

Good morning Everyone,

I hope you all have been having some sunshine and warmer weather. It's been beautiful here this week. Next week we are due for some more rain, which is needed so I will not complain :)

What have you all been working on this week?

I put aside my baby blocks and friendship blocks last weekend to start the mystery quilt over at the Q&N. These are the fabrics I am using.

I don't usually buy black fabric with print on it, but I fell in love with this one. The roses are so sweet. And the mystery quilt seemed a good time to use it. I'm happy I had some coordinating fabrics to go with it in my stash :)

Here is where I am at today on this project.

These are the two main blocks, I have most of them done.

I had put these aside come Monday of this week, so I could finish my other blocks that I wanted to get mailed out on Tues. Those are in the mail, so now I am back to working on my mystery quilt.

Have a happy, quilty day, as my good friend Pat likes to say :)

A new Linky party for the weekend.

  Hello Everyone,

Kim over at My Go-Go Life has started a new linky party for the weekend. You can read all about it here.

You can share your WIPs or finished projects or just come browse and see what every one else is doing.

So, here's what I'm working on.

Getting these Friendship blocks done. Pat and I are behind again. It's a good thing it's only her and I. :)

These X and O blocks need a iron and trim, then they are ready to be sent to the piecer. We are making more baby quilts for some of our forum members.

They have chosen this cute quilt. It's very popular with our forum members. It's a great quilt for a baby/toddler and for using up some scraps.

I have a charity baby quilt I need to get quilting on and my son's dinosaur quilt needs to be quilted.

I am thinking of putting all this aside today and working on Jess's mystery quilt though. It's another beauty and I would love to do some virtual quilting with my buddies. (You can click on the link and buy the pattern still. They come right to your email. Her mystery quilts are awesome.)

Thanks Kim, for starting another fun linky party.

Have a great weekend all. Do some quilting, as it is national quilting day :)

Ruffles blog hop!

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're enjoying the ruffles.

Ruffles just add a little something feminine to things. They're sweet, and frilly, and so very girlish. Being a mountain girl, I am not a very girly-girl. But I do enjoy those little bits of prettiness here and there throughout my house.

Thanks to Ms Samm and our cheerleader this go around, Amy. And of course, our sponsors. Blog hops are always so much fun. There are so many creative things to see. And now on to mine.

I've had this rocking chair for 20 yrs. It was given to me not long after I got pregnant with my first baby. You can see the wear and tear on it. And it was really time for a new back cushion!

The ruffle is small, a folded 2.5" strip, but it's just right for this chair. Too big and it wouldn't have any room.

The bottom piece needs a new cushion too..... But it's not going to be this pretty, and it certainly wont have a ruffle.....there is just too much wear and tear on that seat ;)

As you can see, I love making Lone star patterns. And if they intimidate you a little bit, maybe my tips and tricks will help ease you thru it.

My ruffle was made easy with my ruffler foot!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to hop over to the other blogs and see what everyone has made.
